White Tyger + White Skies
White Tygër are a band that have recently exploded onto the scene with their brand new debut album ‘This Is The Life’ the band originally formed in 2015 playing tribute to the greats of Classic Rock such as AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Motley Crue and more but it wasn’t long before they started introducing their own songs and secured a large fanbase in the West Midlands area! Throughout their career White Tygër have gigged relentlessly around the Midlands and beyond, selling out some of the larger more established venues multiple times, performing wild and crazy shows involving pyrotechnics, dancers, wild antics involving audience members and much more that needs to be seen to be believed! They have also spread out across the UK and abroad and even landed some impressive support slots, opening for the likes of Love/Hate, Vince Neil and Chris Holmes (WASP). The debut album itself is a fierce mix of Old School Rock from the 70’s/80’s and early 90’s with a modern twist! With the bands influences ranging from straight out Classic Rock to Sleaze Hair Metal, Straight up Heavy Metal and Modern Metal styles too it’s fair to say they don’t allow much room for ‘pigeonholing’. They have received very positive reviews from ‘This Is The Life’ by respected critics, radio presenters and musicians alike and are tipped for big things in the future. The band are currently booking up shows for the rest of 2022/23 and looking to make a big impact on the upcoming Rock scene!
White Skies is a UK based AOR band formed by former Samson/First Strike vocalist Mick White, former Ya Ya guitarist Ray Callcut and former Double Cross/Dante Fox keyboard player Pete Lakin. Just prior to the start of the pandemic in 2020, Mick and Ray (who were old friends from the eighties) had discussed the idea of writing a pure AOR album very much in the style of the giants of the genre like Journey, Foreigner and Toto. As the world entered lockdown, the writing process began and it was clear from the first couple of songs that they had a natural songwriting partnership. Ray suggested bringing in his longtime bandmate Pete as the songs were going to need a gifted keyboard player to really take them to the next level and the nucleus of the band was formed. The writing continued over the course of the next year with the tracks being honed down to twelve songs that the three musicians were satisfied the best of the best they had written and the recording process continued in their separate home studios while the pandemic continued to grip the world. Finally the mixes were undertaken by Pete to painstaking detail and the album "Black Tide" was completed in the spring of 2022. The band was very quickly offered a deal by German based rock label Pride & Joy Music. Since then the band has added the talents of Rob Naylor (Angels Or Kings, Blood Red Saints) on bass and Daz Lamberton (Red White And Blues) on drums. Source: White Skies
